1 cup rice (ideally short-grain like sona masuri), washed and depleted
1/2 cup toor dal (pigeon peas), washed and depleted
1 cup blended vegetables (carrots, beans, peas, and so forth), cleaved
1 little onion, finely slashed
2 medium tomatoes, hacked
2 tbsp tamarind glue
1/4 cup peanuts (discretionary)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt, to taste
Water, depending on the situation
2 tbsp ghee (explained spread) or oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
Curry leaves, a couple
Directions:
Get ready Bisi Bele Bhaat Powder:
Broil Flavors: In a dry dish, cook coriander seeds, chana dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, dried red chilies, cinnamon stick, cloves, and dark peppercorns until fragrant. Add ground dry coconut and poppy seeds towards the end, if utilizing. Allow them to cool.

Get ready Bisi Bele Bhaat:
